It shows a wehrmachts-military-exercise on the 24th february 1943 under the leadership of him - oberleutnant merkel.

It really is unbelievable how pedantic he did work - he did write explanations to each of the pics and added a lot of pages with the detailed military-situation he wanted to be practiced.

He also attached some military-maps.

In the beginning he cites some famous words of AH..

The best of it all is (a really great and rare piece of luck) that between the last two pages of the album there is the 100% original death-obituary-notice from an german newspaper from 1967 (!)

He lived from the first of may 1896 to 22. of december 1967 !!

It is very nice and rare to have such an album inclusive the obituary-notice about the officer who this album is about !
